Wrath of Belial sounds like being run over by a freight train; just when you expect the relentless pummeling to be over you re struck right in the kisser. Born out of the Danish underground metal scene Wrath of Belial has its roots in the death metal band Pariah Syndicate, originating from Aarhus, Denmark and formed in the year 2007. Shortly after The band won the Danish Metal Contest in their very first live performance.
"Embers of Dead Empires", Wrath of Belial's pummelings upcoming sophomore effort is a monument to the darker side of human behavior and indifference shown to our surroundings - perhaps more relevant today than ever. Citing influences that range from Aborted, Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse and Mastodon, "Embers of Dead Empires" comprises 10 tracks of heavy riffing, blistering leads and hectic, piercing vocals. Weighting groove less and hooks more the record shows a refined and focused songwriting for an overall accessible and concise listening experience. The record is released worldwide by the independent metal music label CDN Records.
The band enlisted once again drumming powerhouse Bastian Thusgaard (Soilwork, Dawn of Demise, The Arcane Order) and added local guitar virtuoso Alex Bossen of OXX fame as lead player for finalizing writing and bringing the tracks to life. Drumming phenomenon Robin Stone provided his skills for a single track. Mendel beij de Leij (Aborted, Severe Torture, Cytotoxin) mixed and mastered the record while Jacob Bredahl turned the knobs during drum tracking.
With "Embers of Dead Empires" representing Wrath of Belial anno 2025, the band welcomes Guitarist Richardt Olsen (Dysgnostic, Imperious Mortality, Carbon Tomb) and Bent Bisballe Nyeng (Die, Seed of Heresy) to the ranks - eager and ready to present the music from the stage to the audience.
One of the best melodic death metal albums released this year. Fast, intensive riffing, very emotive with more brutal vocals than the genre commonly is associated with nowadays. Think of a mix of Kataklysm, The Black Dahlia Murder, and The Arcane Order. These guys are fucking sick. - nocleansinsging.com
Packed with razor-sharp riffs, breakneck drumming, and searing vocals... this is more than just a record, but a sharpened spear aimed at the heart of apathy and decay.

This ability to keep the listener guessing
augments the slightly generic

It's always worth noting when a more brutal approach to melodic death metal rears its head.
